Nation state treasuries
Nation state treasuries are responsible for supporting the growth and stability of a countries economy for the benefit of its citizens.
U.S. Department of The Treasury - The United States treasury has the mission to maintain a strong economy and create economic and job opportunities by promoting the conditions that enable economic growth and stability at home and abroad, strengthen national security by combating threats and protecting the integrity of the financial system, and manage the U.S. Government’s finances and resources effectively. For 2023 the treasury is looking to spend over $6.9 trillion with an expected deficit of over $1.6 trillion. As of 2022, the United States had a national debt of over $30.9 trillion.
HM Treasury - The United Kingdom treasury is the government’s economic and finance ministry, which maintains control over public spending, setting the direction of the UK’s economic policy and works to achieve strong and sustainable economic growth. For 2023 the treasury is looking to spend over £1.1 trillion with an expected deficit of £132 billion. As of 2023, the United Kingdom had a national debt of over £2.5 trillion.

Corporate treasuries play the vital role of managing the assets owned by an organisation to most effectively supports its long term growth and stability for the benefit of its shareholders.
Berkshire Hathaway - Manages a treasury of over $128 billion in cash and $201 billion in property, plant & equipment amongst other assets.
Apple - Manages a treasury of over $20 billion in cash and $42 billion in property, plant & equipment amongst other assets.
Web3 treasuries
Web3 treasuries play a pivotal role in the growth and stability of emerging decentralized ecosystems, treasuries help with funding initiatives that help to grow the community, improve the underlying technology and help with enabling and supporting new use cases.

Cardano - As of August 2023 the Cardano ecosystem manage a treasury worth over $390 million.
Uniswap - As of August 2023, the Uniswap ecosystem manage a treasury worth over $2.4 billion.
